Introduction.

Orisec adheres to the government guidance on Covid-19 in order to protect our employees, customers and suppliers. Below is a summary of the implementations we’ve introduced as a result of Covid-19. As this is a fast-moving situation, please check with us regularly for the latest updates.

Trading status.

Orisec remains open for business and we are currently able to continue supplying customers. Our products and services are used to protect people and premises and the demand for these is only increasing during these uncertain times. Following government guidelines, we have adjusted the way we operate to protect all concerned, as outlined below.

Customer Meetings and Site Visits.

We no longer hold face-to-face meetings with customers and do not currently attend site visits. Instead we are holding meetings online and by conference call. We are also providing online remote training sessions for customers keen to learn more about our latest products.

Supporting our Staff.

Orisec is based upon a modern IT infrastructure which has enabled the vast majority of our employees to work safely and securely from home. Staff from the following departments are now working from home: Customer Services, Technical Support, Sales, Accounts, Order Processing, Marketing, Graphic Design, R&D, Cloud Services, Industrial Designers.

For our manufacturing roles we are following the current government advice, which says:

“You may travel for work purposes, but only where you cannot work from home. Certain jobs require people to travel to their place of work – for instance if they operate machinery, work in construction or manufacturing. If you cannot work from home then you can still travel to work. This is consistent with the Chief Medical Officer’s advice. The critical worker definition does not affect whether or not you can travel to work – if you are not a critical worker, you may still travel to work provided you cannot work from home.”

Orisec has a large 80,000 sq ft, factory and many of the manufacturing operations are automated. For the processes that require human operation we have redesigned the shop floor layout so that all staff are safe distances apart. We have increased regular deep cleaning of the facilities and provided all staff with their own individual sets of equipment and tools to further protect them.

Effect on Supply of Products.

All our products are manufactured by us here in the UK. Our products are delivered via courier rather than through trade counters and this delivery process is currently still running smoothly. We are still able to provide the vast majority of our product range for next day delivery. As always, for custom screen-printed products please allow a little more time. Please contact our sales department at sales@orisec.co.uk or 01706 398700 for further information.

Effect on Product Training.

Although face-to-face training is currently suspended, we are still able to offer remote on-line training. The training can be customised to your specific needs. Please contact our support department at support@orisec.co.uk or 01706 398740 for further information.

Effect on Customised Marketing Support.

We are currently still able to work with customers to provide branded marketing materials, product images etc. Please contact our marketing department at marketing@orisec.co.uk or 01706 398750 for further information.
